The Wake County Detention Center serves as the county's main processing facility for law-enforcement arrests. Wake County also uses other detention space, so a person's housing location may change after initial processing.
This is a Wake County government facility. It is not an Amistad Bail Bonds office.

How Does the Wake County Bail Bond Process Work?
Once a secured bond has been set and a bail bondsman can be used, the process is straightforward.
Confirm the Bond
We review the available bond amount, bond type, custody information, and other details needed to understand the situation.
Complete the Application
The person arranging the bond provides the information needed for the application review.
Review the Requirements
Before anything is signed, we explain the premium, payment requirements, any collateral that may apply, and the responsibilities connected to the bond.
Post the Bond
Once the application is approved and the requirements are completed, a licensed bail bondsman can post the bond. The detention facility then completes its own release process.
A judicial official sets the release conditions, including the bond when required. Amistad handles the bail bond. The detention facility controls the release.
Amistad cannot reduce the bond amount, change court-ordered conditions, or guarantee a release time.

Payment options depend on the bond and the individual situation.
The amount required and available arrangements can depend on factors such as the bond amount, charges, and the qualifications of the person signing the agreement.
For qualifying bonds over $20,000, some options may start as low as 5% down.
